Nha Trang
Nha Trang is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is bounded on the North by Ninh Hoà district, on the East by the South China Sea, on the South by Cam Ranh town and on the West by Diên Khánh district. The city has about 300,000 inhabitants, a number which is projected to increase to between 500,000 and 600,000 inhabitants by 2020 according to an estimation of Nha Trang Administrative Board Statistics.
Da Nang
Da Nang is a major port city in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, on the coast of the South China Sea. It is one of the five independent municipalities in Vietnam.
It was called Tourane or Turon during the French colonization of Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is the largest city in Vietnam. It was known as Prey Nokor before being annexed by the Vietnamese in the 17th century. Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina and later of the independent state of South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. In 1976, Saigon merged with the surrounding province of Gia Định and was officially renamed Hồ Chí Minh City (although the name Sài Gòn - formally known as District 1 - is still commonly used.)
Chan May (Hué)
Chan May
Chan May Port is located in the south-east corner of Thua Thien-Hue Province in Loc Vinh commune, Phu Loc district, Vietnam. It is operated by the Management Board of Chan May-Lang Co Economics Zone.
Ownership of the Chan May Port may be assumed by the Vinashin Group in early 2008.
The port was used in 2006 as an assembly yard for Rio Tinto's Alcan G3 Project, where mining modules were assembled and loaded out on the newly constructed wharf to the mine in Australia's Northern Territory state.
Ha Long (Hanoi)
Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay, literally: Descending Dragon bay, is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes.
Geographical Location
Ha Long Bay is located in northeastern Vietnam, from E106°56' to E107°37' and from N20°43' to N21°09'. The bay stretches from Yên Hưng district, past Hạ Long city, Cẩm Phả town to Vân Đồn district, bordered on the south and southeast by the Gulf of Tonkin, on the north by China and on the west and southwest by Cát Bà island.
