THE CITY OF BARCELONA
Barcelona is situated on the north-eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula and the shores of the Mediterranean. It is the capital of the Spanish province of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain in both size and population. The city of Barcelona has a population of 1.510.000. The Greater Barcelona area amounts to a population of more than 4.000.000. Barcelona enjoys an almost perfect climate which makes it an ideal place to be at any time of the year. Night life is almost as lively as day life. It has a unique, exciting atmosphere, which provides the visitor with a truly unforgettable experience. There are two official languages: Catalan, generally spoken in all of Catalonia, and Castilian Spanish.
Tenerife - Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz de Tenerife aka Santa Cruz is the capital (jointly with Las Palmas), second-most populous city of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and the 21st largest city in Spain, with a population of 221,956 in 2008. It is, depending on sources, the 13th, 14th, or 16th-most populous metropolitan area in Spain, with the population 399,000, 481,592 or 581,947. But has the largest metropolitan area in the Canary Islands, on its two main cities (Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristobal de La Laguna) with 366.85 kilometers of area. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is also the capital of the island of Tenerife (Canary Island and most populated of Spain) and also capital of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located in the Tenerife island about 210 kilometres (~130 miles) off the northwestern coast of the African continent within the Atlantic Ocean.
Malaga
THE CITY OF MALAGA
Malaga is the major coastal city of Andalucia and is a genuine and typical Andaluz city. It ranks as the fifth largest metropolitan area in Spain. The city is surrounded by mountains and two rivers, the Guadalmedina and the Guadalhorce, that flow near the city into the Mediterranean. The population of the urban area of Malaga is 814.000. The coastal area enjoys a privileged geographical position: protected from the North winds by the mountains, it benefits from the highest average temperatures in Spain and over 300 days of sunlight per year.
Valencia
Valencia (Catalan: València) is the capital and most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Valencia and the third largest city in Spain, with a population of 810,064 in 2008. It is the 22nd-most populous municipality in the European Union and 35th-most populous urban area in the European Union with the population 1,175,000. 1,7 million people live in Valencia metropolitan area.
Lanzarote - Arrecife
Lanzarote, a Spanish island, is the easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 125 km off the coast of Africa and 1,000 km from the Iberian Peninsula. Covering 845.9 km2, it stands as the fourth largest of the islands. The first recorded name for the island, given by Angelino Dulcert, was Insula de Lanzarotus Marocelus, after the Genoese navigator Lancelotto Malocello, from which the modern name is derived. The island's name in the native language was Titerro(y)gatra, which may mean "the red mountains"
Gran Canaria - Las Palmas
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria aka Las Palmas is the capital (jointly with the Santa Cruz) and most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Canary Islands and the ninth largest city in Spain, with a population of 381,123 in 2008. It is the fifth-most populous urban area in Spain with the population 700,000 and (depending on sources) ninth or tenth-most populous metropolitan area in Spain with the population 625,892, 640,000 or 741,826. Located in northeast of the island of Gran Canaria, about 210 kilometers (~130 miles) off the northwestern coast of the African continent within the Atlantic Ocean.
