Orchimex de Costa Rica now offers a tour of our facilities to show our visitors the orchid world, the most massive and beautiful family in the plant kingdom. Guests will learn about orchids in general as well as practical tips on orchid care. Walking through our greenhouses you will have the opportunity to see the different type of orchid hybrids that we export around the world and our orchid collection with species of our country and from around the world.

ORCHIMEX was founded in 1991 by Thai and German partners, it is part of a major corporation with more than 30 years of experience in the international flower industry producing orchids. The partners brought the technical and growing expertise as well as the market knowledge that has led Orchimex to become one of the most successful orchid producers in the world. Orchimex is Located near Puntarenas in the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, it has exceptionally good weather conditions for tropical orchid production. Using the best Thai traditions and growing knowledge and care of orchid plants, combined with modern Costa Rican agricultural practices, we have researched, developed and instituted better production systems, giving us the technical expertise to produce a superior quality flower spray.

Expanding every year we have now 22 acres of greenhouse becoming the largest Cut Orchid exporter in the Western Hemisphere.
